Smoke Alarms Save Lives

Smoke Alarms Save Lives

Smoke alarms are the best way of preventing death and serious injury from house fires.  They are vitally important and should be a priority in every home. They’re not just a warning, they are your ONLY warning.

At least one smoke alarm should be installed on every level in your home, and be regularly tested and kept free of dust and dirt.  Smoke alarms should be fitted on the ceiling in the centre of your room. Please follow the installation instructions carefully.

The battery operated smoke alarms we supply do give an audible warning of intermittent bleeps at which point a new battery should be fitted. It’s a good idea to keep spare batteries in your home so when the low battery beep sounds, it can be fixed immediately without the temptation to remove the battery and leave the alarm inoperable.

Here at FireSafe West Midlands, we stock battery operated smoke alarms kitemarked to BS EN14604:2005 which can be purchased from our online store.
