Which Fire Extinguisher for my Personal Car?

If you’re looking to buy a fire extinguisher for your personal car then a small 1Kg or 2Kg Powder would be an ideal choice.  In car fire scenarios, a fire extinguisher that offers Class B protection is essential – Class B fires are those that involve flammable liquids, such as Petrol.

Our 1 & 2Kg Powders are small and compact and come with a securing bracket. They offer protection on Class A, B, C and live electrical fires. Also worth considering if you have a little more space, is the 3 Kg Powder, which offers increased performance and capability and has a higher Fire Rating as a result. It is supplied with a securing bracket.

Should your car catch fire, stop the car safely, release the bonnet catch, evacuate the car as quickly as you can, call the fire brigade and keep away from the road. Do not attempt to take personal belongings from the vehicle. If you can use a fire extinguisher, do not lift the bonnet but put the extinguisher in the gap and operate the fire extinguisher until it is empty. Be aware of wind direction. Do not endanger yourself. Do not stand in the fumes and smoke.
